What to expect in our psychology sessions
Our first session will be approximately 60 minutes during which I will ask about yourself, your journey to my psychological services and what you would like to achieve through therapy.
I appreciate that many clients experience meeting a psychologist for the first time a little nerve wracking. I aim to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere that fosters an open conversion and discussion.
My intention is that by the end of our first session we will have generated some ideas of how I can help you and together we can formulate a plan of intervention for subsequent sessions.
Subsequent Sessions
Each person is very unique and consequently I collaborate with each client in the design and development of a program according to their needs and therapeutic goals. Our subsequent sessions are 50 minutes in duration and are usually on a weekly basis for the first six weeks.
However, the frequency of psychology sessions can vary from client to client depending on many factors including your needs, your availability and your own therapeutic experiences, goals and ongoing progress.
Clinical Psychology Fees
I have set fees that align with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Schedule for Clinical Psychology fees. Most clients are eligible for a Mental Health Plan (MHP) referral, obtainable from your GP.
If you have a MHP you will be able to obtain a partial rebate for six sessions. Some health funds also provide partial rebates If you have private health cover for allied health services. My psychology fees and available rebates are below:

Medicare Rebates (Medicare Item 80010/80015)
Psychology Service and Billing Limitations
I work on a part-time basis and am most often heavily booked in advance. For these reasons I am unable to ‘bulk bill’ for my psychological services, nor can I provide psychological services for individuals who require ongoing support in legal cases, and I have a cancellation policy, which is detailed in my service agreement and consent form available here:
